Qualcomm unveiled Snapdragon 821 processor details

The flagship processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 was introduced in July, but so far its characteristics were not fully known. And now Qualcomm has shared details on this chipset.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 821, according to official figures on 10% more powerful than the previous processor. The chip is based on four types of nuclei Qualcomm Kryo at up to 2.4 GHz. As a GPU Adreno graphics processor has been selected 530 it was overclocked to 653 MHz. According to the company, a bunch of 64-bit Snapdragon 821 and Adreno 530 overclocked consumes 10% less power than the previous generation.

In addition, Qualcomm’s assured that the new processor:

• Work best with Android 7.0 Nougat;
• Supports new virtual reality standards, for example, Google Daydream and Snapdragon VR;
• Fully reveals the capabilities of laser autofocus.
