After the release of Tom Clancy’s The Division, many players started to face the problem of crashes during opening cinematic. In this article we present 3 methods that can solve this problem.

Method 1

Launch Control Panel, and be sure to uninstall all software related to Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable.

After doing that, please download and install files below:

Download Microsoft Visual C++ 2005
Download Microsoft Visual C++ 2008
Download Microsoft Visual C++ 2010
Download Microsoft Visual C++ 2012
Download Microsoft Visual C++ 2013
Download Microsoft Visual C++ 2015

Method 2

Try to run the game from the following path C:/Program Files (x86)/Ubisoft/Ubisoft Game Launcher/games/Tom Clancy’s The Division/ as Administrator. Before trying this method many players had black screen with audio on the background, but now it all works fine.

Method 3

  1. Download latest NVidia Driver
  2. Disable all auto start programs
  3. Disable all software for mouse.
  4. Don’t forget to check your Firewall
